Figures to watch out for in 2010

My wishlist is getting longer and longer. 2009 is a great year for anime figures with lots of amazing characters that came out. I think 2010 will be just as great with a strong line up of beautifully designed new figs.

Though there’s still a lot of older figures that I’d like to acquire, I think I’ll focus more on the new ones because they are easier to find. I guess I have to be more disciplined with my toy purchases since I have a lot of other things to save for.

First up is Black Rock Shooter – Black Blade version. I already ordered the first BRS with the canon. This one with the sword is equally gorgeous. She’s already up for pre-order and will be released in April 2010 for ¥6,800.

Miku Hatsune VN02 mix is a very bold Miku in terms of colors and design. I’m not sure if I really like the shade of green used to color her but I think it works. Priced at ¥12,800, this figure will surely put a dent in my wallet if ever I’ll order her. ^^; Release date is June 2010.

I love Saber from Fate/Stay Night. I’m still blaming myself for not getting Good Smile’s Saber Lily that came out a few months ago. I still hope I can buy her soon. Below is a version of Saber from Gift which will be displayed in their booth during the Comiket. I like the pose and the base but I still have to see other angles of her face before I decide to order her. I saw another Saber by Gift and her face was a little off so I’ll wait for more pictures of this new Saber.

I wasn’t able to pre-oder Yuzuko Hayakawa. Maybe I’ll just get her when I have extra budget for figs. She’s beautifully sculpted and her face is very pretty. She somewhat reminds me of Mio Akiyama and Hitagi Senjougahara. Yuzuko Peppermint will be out this coming March 2010 for ¥9,800.

At first I thought this figure was Queen’s Blade’s Ymir but she’s Sousou (Karin) from Shin Koihime Musou, a game/anime series which I know nothing about. I found her at Good Smile’s website and I thought her costume and facial expression look really nice. This figure is labeled “Adults Only” because her top is actually removable. ^^; Sousou will be released this May 2010 and she’s priced at ¥8,190.

This set is definitely on my “must get” list. Just look how cute these Fate/Stay Night characters are! No price tag for this Nendoroid puchi set yet but they’ll be released in Spring of 2010.

Another figure on my “must get” list, Black Rock Shooter Nendoroid. This is the prototype picture of BRS nendo taken at Comiket 77. Kawaii!

I remember posting something here (and here) that I’d like to see Mio in meido costume. I guess this Mio in a gothic dress and a meido-like headband is the closest I’ve seen so far. She looks pretty and her guitar looks amazing but her happy expression is not my favorite. Good thing she comes with an extra face with the slightly embarrassed expression which looks a lot better. Out in March 2010, this Mio figure is priced at ¥8,190.

Then we have Nakano Azunyan of the K-On! fame. This figure by Hobby Japan definitely looks better than a couple of other Azunyans that I came across before. She’s a magazine exclusive though, probably be released in April 2010.

I’m sure there are a lot more figures coming up in 2010 that may just kill your wallet. ^^; Better be ready for that. Have a wonderful 2010 filled with love, peace and happiness and more toys!

I won’t buy the Blade Version of BRS. I like more the Cannon version (which should I get next month!). but maybe I will buy the 3rd Version. Cannon with an action scene!

    Nendo BRS, hmm maybe =D.

Hatune Miku VN02 looks really nice. I like those colors. It’s something different. I think I will buy this version too.

    Karin… looks very nice.
I know only the animes of Kohime Musou. Nice Anime. But… maybe I will buy her. Not sure now.

I’m still thinking of getting BRS blade version but most likely I’ll get her too. Where did you see the 3rd version? ^^

Nendo BRS is a must on my list.

    Miku Hatsune VN02 mix sure looks good, she’s not budget-friendly though ^^;

I’m pretty sure that new Saber figure is from Good Smile, not Gift. It looks stunning, definitely a must-order for me.
